It premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and was awarded the Hamburg Short Film Award at the International Short Film Festival Hamburg.

We are also screening a film by Hanan Abdallah, called In the Shadow of A Man. It is a documentary that focuses on four Egyptian women from diverse backgrounds and generations talk about their lives and how they were shaped by their gender.

"A Tin Tale"

Through a series of interviews, Mona Farkha a young prostitute tells Aida and omar, 2 young film-makers, her life story,starting with her childhood when she was raped then all the suffering and abandonment she had to through up untill that interview. she takes them from one memory to another, without them knowig which is real and which is a mere fragment of her own imagination untill they themselves become part of her story.
