Sana Moussa was born in the Palestinian village Deir Al-Asad in the Galilee. Her father is a well known musician and singer who professed at singing folkloric songs of Syria, Egypt and Iraq. That was the trigger for Sana's connection to classical Arabic music and in particular the Palestinian folk.
Sana's songs can be categorized under Classic genre, as she strives to preserve folkloric singing and pass it across generations through her musical performance “Ishraq”. Ishraq is a musical performance that combines a collection of songs passed down through generations of Palestinian women. These songs are distinct in their form and content; they are expressive monologues depicting important moments of Palestinian history as well as emotions relating to daily life from the perspective of Palestinian women.
In 2003 she received training and performed at Oriental Music Center. In 2004, she started performing classic and folkloric songs in several festivals in the Arab World and Europe. She started “Naw Athar” band in 2008. The band presents folkloric and classical songs in new arrangements while maintaining their oriental flavor.

Concert starts at 9:00pm
