The screening is followed by a Talk with Samir Auf on the topic of Undefinable Documentary:
In this talk, director Samir Auf discusses his tools and approaches to filmmaking. He relfects on how he deals with cinema as an abstract art form, and how problematic the task of defining his films is; between the documentary, experimental, or fictional. He also provides an insight on the older generation of Egyptian documentary filmmakers; their experiences and the challenges they faced.

Samir Auf, is one of the pioneers of the Egyptian documentary filmmaking tradition. Starting his career in the 1960s, Auf directed many documentaries that went on to participate in many festivals- including Venice in 1972- garnering many local and international awards.
