Nabil Khemir
Tunisian composer, guitarist, oud player and singer Nabil Khemir started playing the lute at the young age of nine. Khemir also plays the Rayjam, an instrument that combines the oud and electric guitar, fusing between Arabic music and western jazz. His musical taste was influenced by the sounds of North African and Egyptian music and his rich cultural heritage, as well as Western jazzmen such as George Benson and John McLaughlin, among others. He has performed in Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, Netherlands, Italy and the US, among other countries, and performed with Melodie Gardot, Joachim Kühn and drummer Chander Sardjoe. In 2007 Khemir participated in the American music contest for creation and improvisation, and received an award for his composition Parfum D’Orient et D’Occident.

All concerts start at 8:30 PM
