artellewa’s 7th Birthday Party

Since the foundation of artellewa in 2007, and during the past seven years artellewa struggled to form a different artistic atmosphere by leaving artistic elite mentality away and getting closer to the street in the informal and unprivileged area of Ard El Lewa. Where artellewa act as a bridge between Ard El Lewa, Egyptian and international artistic scene, to get rid of isolation between artists and community through opening new communication channels between them.

We invite you _artellewa’s founder and staff_ to share us the celebration of artellewa’s seventh birthday at the night of January 17th, 2014.

The party consists of a group of performances and musical shows, also we are going to open artellewa’s library project in Garage space as well as a new artists residency space.

5:00pm artist Sameh Ismael will interact through calligraphy with the result of The White Space project (Dokkan Space)
6:00pm Mime Performance: The tales of father and mother (Studio Al Khalat)
6:00pm Japanese resident artists in artellewa will serve Japanese food. (Dokkan Space)
7:00pm Oriental Music: Luth and Qanon by Sabrine and Safinaz El Guindy (Studio Al Khalat)
8:00pm Solo Qanon by Amr Salah (Studio Al Khalat)
