THE BIRDS’ MURMURATION (UK/EGYPT)

BLOCKS (THE NETHERLANDS/egypt)

Blocks is a collaborative project that brings together the visitors, citizens and spectators of the city. The objects, in collaboration with the dancers, represent the constantly changing city that builds, interrupts, destroys and rebuilds itself.The performance will be developed with local disabled and non-disabled dancers.

The Budapest Marionettes (Hungary)

World-renowned puppeteer Bence Sarkadi has been travelling the world with his puppets for the past ten years and is finally performing in Cairo as part of D-CAF 2017.
The Budapest Marionettes brings to life a range of different marionettes in a cycle of short stories accompanied by music. The performance contains no words. This exceptional puppet show uses an artistic language and a world of forms very characteristic of Central Europe, but creates something new with every puppet.
