Self Writing Workshop

 

Friday 21 June 2013 and Saturday 22 June 2013

 

Writing workshop targeting young creative artists who write their first experiments, from age 15 to 25, through the re-discovery themselves, and self-expression in the form of nonfiction and poetic.

The product of the workshop will be a group of creative texts for the participants.

Salma Mobarak:  Assistant professor of Comparative Literature and cinema criticism at French Department of the Faculty of Arts, in Cairo University, Specialized in the field of relationship between literature and visual arts. She published several articles and participated in collective books in both Arabic and French in Egypt, France, Belgium and Switzerland, and supervised many workshops in creative, critical and journalistic writing. She worked in the Ministry of Culture, as undersecretary of state for Foreign Cultural Relations in 2008 – 2009.

From 2010 – 2013 Salma Mobarak joined the group of work in cultural policy in Egypt, as an independent member. She got the Publication Award in the international scientific journals granted by Cairo University in 2007, and the Cultural Exchange Award granted by the Ministry of culture of the PRC in 2009.
