Inshad & Sufi singing By Zeen Mahmoud

Sheikh Zain” Has been brought up in Minya Governorate. He was originally a Praiser (The one who sings in praise of Prophet Mohammad Peace be upon him) as was his father, as was his grandfather; He also got used to reading Qur’an. His big brother, who left school at the age of 13, was also a Praiser; and when he died, Sheikh Zain took his place. However his dream as bigger than being a Praiser, he thought of Sufi Singing (Inshad Sufi), Folklore and the Mawal Art. But being a member of the Shazleya cult in his town “Bani Mazar”, he wasn’t allowed to convert to singing, even Sufi singing (Inshad Sufi).
In 1992, a radical change has accrued to his live when one of the theatre groups used him as a religious singer (Mounshed) in the play “Taghreebat Abdel Razek” or “Abdle Razek’s expatriation” which was played in Bani Mazar.
After that, he went to Cairo, he met with “Sayed El Dawy” the most famous “Mounshed” of “Seera Helaleya”in Egypt, who taught him How to sing it. He also met with the Arghoul player “Mostafa Abdel Aziz”.
He left to France; and after his big success in the French land, it became his major starting point. From France, he travelled to most of the European countries.
His first Album was produced by the “Arab World Institute” in Paris. One of his most famous songs is “Yabky wa yadhak” or “he laughs and cries” from the movie “Bab El shams” Directed by Yousry Nasr Allah
