Dinner at the Movies: An Event Programmed by Cimatheque - Alternative Film Centre

Start your week by joining us for a night of fun experimentation at Eish & Malh! Come experience an array of shorts, silent films and more contemporary works, alongside a four course dinner tailor-made for the occasion. Dinner at the Movies is an event programmed by Cimatheque - Alternative Film Centre.

This event will focus on themes of marginality and the outsider, with a special lens turned to films or filmmakers long neglected by history. We will be screening the lesser-known works of celebrated artists such as Charlie Chaplin’s Behind the Screen (1916), Atteyat El Abnoudy’s The Sandwich (1975), and Abel Gance’s La Folie du Docteur Tube (1915), alongside slightly eccentric newsreels and animated works from the underground vaults of history.

To enjoy the seated dinner event, you must reserve your table in advance by calling 01098744014 / 01064138200 or sending us a message on facebook. The rest of our space will remain open to the general public, so if you're curious, please stop by for a peak while having a drink!

Important note:
The dinner will be set-up to reflect the communal experience of both dining and being at the movies. Seating will be open at 7PM, and the event will be organized on a first-come, first-seated basis. The film will start sharply at 8PM, so please be sure to show up on time!
