SARAB (Morocco):

Fouad speaks with his body, his movement, his breath. A necessary breath, a freedom, as he says. His solo piece is like a concentrate of all his dance desires in order to be liberated, a sort of quest for identity. At first, there is a process which looks like an intensive and repeated frenzy. He proposes and imposes a game with his body, knowing that he will hurt himself, and that only the exposure to the gaze of the other can bring him into being.

MAYOHKOMSH (Egypt):
“Mayohkomsh” is a collaborative work, where the idea of “judgment” was planted as a seed to initiate the project and share a collective vision. Inviting you to recognize the many aspects of one being; A woman, Sudanese, African, Arab, a dancer, who is versatile and diverse, as we all are.

CELL (Morocco):
When does the body acquire meaning onstage and what do ‘I’ and ‘me’ mean to the body? Is it the environment which structures the body or is the body structuring the environment? In his work on this project, Youness Khoukhou will explore these questions, and will also examine how research can be self-reflexively performative.
